Your prayers and your journey to your Sacred Site of Mauna Kea is not only important to your culture and tradition, but we the Spiritual Leaders and Medicine People know that the Sacred Site is part of all of our lives. In our tradition and culture, this is like a Church, a Temple, a Sacred Place, where we do our prayers. We extend our heart and prayers for your Nation to protect, not only the Sacred Site, but the Mini Wic’oni (water of life), which is the most important part of our ceremonies along with the fire and air.
We have a prophecy from our Lakota, Dakota, Nakota Oyate, that when the white animals show their sacred color white, we will be at the crossroads of important effort and decisions for all our future and that you see today with the recent White Whale Migaloo visiting your territory. Many People like you are taking a stand to protect Mother Earth’s power points, her sacred sites known as chakras. We continue to pray for each and every one of you, as you step forward to protect the Sacred Holy Place. You are not alone. All the People that live in your territory need to stand with you now, the direction we are going is not good. People in this western society must understand where we are coming from; we are coming from our Sacred Sites and ceremonies, People of theEarth.

I Mahalo you Chief Lookinghorse. You bring honor to your people for standing with us in defense of that which is sacred, Mauna Kea. Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka Aina I Ka Pono / The Life Of The Land Is Perpetuated In Righteousness.
Thank you so much for standing in solidarity for Mauna Kea and all sacred sites! This is an important part of ending the 6th Mass Extinction on a good note.
Blessing, we in the Florida Everglades have walked with Bobby C. Billie, to defend this Sacred land from ROGG, a proposed bike and hiker paved highway, they plan to dig up the burial grounds and pave over them, fill in the wet lands cut the ancient cypress trees, and it is the thin end of the wedge because there would be power lines needed to light up this entity, and those lines will be used to supply the proposed oil wells with electricity.
I thank you for all you do, we must hold the space so that the Elders and medicine people can what needs to be done to heal Mother Earth.

The mo`olelo (story) of resistance to haole (white) intrusion by the Lakota Chiefs Sitting Bull, Red Cloud and Crazy Horse inspire me just as the mo`olelo of an earlier Indian leader, Chief Black Hawk of the Illinois Indian Wars, did. My heart is black with anger, frustration and disappointment. I listened to the words of my na kupuna (grandparents), studied the chants of my na kupuna kahiko (ancient grandparents) and contemplate the future. Mahalo for your words.
